The requirement

The customer originally used Hampson & Mealey for a house move before the company offered self storage. Around two years later, a follow-up established that the customer still required storage with a larger operator.

An introductory offer had ended, the monthly price had increased significantly and the customer had entered a 12-month agreement for a slightly better rate, although the ongoing cost remained high.

Our solution

Hampson & Mealey arranged the transfer into its own container storage and moved the contents free of charge.

The replacement arrangement used straightforward rolling monthly pricing with 30 days’ notice and no long fixed-term commitment.

The outcome

The customer saved approximately one third compared with the previous cost while gaining more flexible monthly terms.

The example shows why long-term value and flexibility can matter more than a short introductory promotion, especially when storage is needed for several years.
