The requirement
Gustaf Creative Ltd contacted Hampson & Mealey late on a Friday. Six-metre poles were needed in Exeter by 9am on Monday for a marquee or teepee event setup.
The length of the equipment, the short lead time and the need to protect it from weather meant that a routine van or exposed flatbed movement was not the right answer.
Our solution
The poles fitted inside Hampson & Mealey’s specialist six-metre enclosed trailer. The enclosed trailer reduced the risk of rust or weather damage and was more economical than using a truck.
Collection took place on Sunday morning. A return backload was sourced so the journey remained commercially viable while still allowing a competitive customer rate.
The outcome
The equipment was delivered in Exeter by 9am on Monday as agreed, ready for the event setup. The customer was very happy with the service.
