Trailer transport can suit long items, event equipment, vehicles and commercial goods that do not belong in a normal van. The correct trailer depends on dimensions, weight, weather protection, loading method and access.

Hampson & Mealey has practical trailer experience and can arrange suitable equipment or suppliers without implying that every trailer type is company-owned.

Enclosed or open transport

An enclosed trailer protects appropriate goods from rain and road spray, while other items may require a different setup. The choice should follow the load rather than price alone.

Verified unusual work includes classic cars, an antique canoe, a large anvil and 6 metre event poles.

Route and loading responsibility

Long loads need turning space and safe loading at both ends. Weight, securing points and who provides lifting equipment must be agreed before collection.
